__The Academy has been established as a forum of distinguished scientists in the molecular life sciences and related fields to help advance FEBS initiatives. Its members will provide strategic guidance, scientific advice, and support for FEBS activities that promote scientific excellence, nurture the next generation of researchers, and strengthen the voice of science in addressing societal challenges. As a Member of the Academy, Prof. Kondorosi will play an important role in shaping its identity and direction.__

The FEBS Research Academy is a new international scientific excellence body established by the [Federation of European Biochemical Societies|https://www.febs.org] (FEBS) in September 2026 to advance innovation, collaboration, and leadership in the molecular life sciences.Key DetailsPurpose: Acts as a forum for distinguished researchers to provide strategic guidance, scientific advice, and professional support for FEBS initiatives and training programs.Membership: Comprises 96 invited Founding Members from 24 countries, including 27 Nobel Laureates and prominent figures like Founding Honorary Member Éva Kondorosi.

A dedicated ceremony to mark the launch of the FEBS Research Academy will be held at the next FEBS Congress, which will take place in Riga, Latvia, from 3 to 7 July 2027.
