__Members of Academia Europaea are invited to join the Zhejiang-Slovenia Glial Cell Joint Laboratory Workshop 2026 to take place in Zhejiang, China on March 27%%sup th/%, 2026.__

!The Laboratory:

[Zhejiang Chinese Medical University|https://iec.zcmu.edu.cn/en/home] (ZCMU) - [University of Lubljana|https://www.uni-lj.si/en/university] (UL) Translational Gliology Laboratory was formed on March 14, 2024, by the memorandum of understanding signed by Prof. Zhong Chen, ZCMU President and Prof. Gregor Majdič, UL Rector. This memorandum named [Prof. Vladimir Parpura|Member/Parpura_Vladimir] MAE of ZCMU and [Prof. Robert Zorec|Member/Zorec_Robert]  MAE of UL, members of __Academia Europaea__, as the codirectors of this joint laboratory. The laboratory subsequently received accreditation by and funding (for 3 years starting on January 1, 2025) from the Department of Science and Technology, Zhejiang Province People’s Government, as a Zhejiang international joint laboratory entitled “International Joint Laboratory Chinese Name: Zhejiang - Slovenia Glial Cell Biology Joint Laboratory; International Joint Laboratory; English Name: ZCMU, China - UL, Slovenia Translational Gliology Laboratory”.

!The Workshop:

The Zhejiang-Slovenia Glial Cell Joint Laboratory Workshop 2026 is organized in Hangzhou, China, and is supported by Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and Zhejiang Province People’s Government. The Workshop chairs: [Vladimir Parpura|Member/Parpura_Vladimir] MAE (ZCMU) and [Robert Zorec|Member/Zorec_Robert] (UL).
