Founding Editor and Editor-in-Chief of the electronic journal Electrochemistry Communications (current impact factor >4.5) launched by Elsevier in January 1999.

Co-Editor of the Royal Society of Chemistry Specialist Perioidical Reports: Electrochemistry.

Physical Chemistry Editor of the Oxford Chemistry Primer (OUP): A series of 99 textbooks. Co-author of the primers Foundations of Physical Chemistry (1996; translated into Japanese 1997, and Spanish 2000), Electrode potentials (1996), and Foundations of Physical Chemistry: Worked examples (1999)

The graduate textbook Understanding Voltammetry was published in 2007 (1st edition) and 2011 (2nd edition) by Imperial College Press (ICP) and listed as a ‘bestseller’. A Russian translation is in preparation and a Chinese translation under discussion. Two companion volumes are: ‘Problems and Solutions’ published in 2012 and ‘Understanding Voltammetry: The Simulation of Electrode Processes’ ( 2014).

Co-author of A G Stromberg – First Class Scientist, Second Class Citizen. Letters from the GULAG and a History of Electroanalysis in the USSR (2011, ICP)

Patents have been filed on 24 different topics including electrochemical cannabis and amphetamine detection (basis of the spin out OxTox), novel pH sensors (spin out Senova), gas sensing and the detection of garlic strength and chilli heat in foodstuffs (licenced to English Provender supplies to many supermarket chains )
