Giuseppe Camodeca - Publications#

Prof. G. Camodeca (Napoli 9-11-1945), University of Naples L’Orientale), is the author of more than 180 publications. His work includes Roman administrative history (e. g., iuridici, curatores rei publicae, provincial governors, civic institutions, collegia), editions of Latin epigraphs (in particular the careers of senators and equestrians), élites and social history of roman Campania, readings and historical - juridical commentary of wax tablets archives, from both Herculaneum (Tabulae Herculanenses) and Pompeii (Tabulae Pompeianae Sulpiciorum); a two-volume edition of the latter was published in 1999. He is currently compiling a catalogue of Latin inscriptions at the National Museum of Naples, the first volume was published (Naples 2000). In the framework of the international project EAGLE (Electronic Archive of Greek and Latin Epigraphy), he is supervisor of the research team that is editing and digitising the inscriptions from Roman Campania in the on line data base EDR (Epigraphic Database Roma).

Member of the Accademia Archeologia Lettere e Belle Arti di Napoli (Società Nazionale, Sect.: Archeologia), and of the Pontificia Accademia Romana di Archeologia.
